About Rwanda Energy Group

The Rwanda Energy Group Limited was incorporated to expand, maintain and operate the energy infrastructure in the Country through its two subsidiaries the Energy Utility Corporation Limited (EUCL) and the Energy Development Corporation Limited (EDCL). The objective of creating these subsidiaries amongst others was to ensure focused attention to enhancing efficiency in utility operations on one hand and ensure more timely and cost efficient implementation of development projects on the other. Moreover the REG holding structure provides the overall coordination and ensures effective development of energy and investment plans.

Description, duties, responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Delivery

  1. Coordinate the different External Technical Consultant groups / Institutions;
  2. Track & Monitor to ensure the External Consultants deliver the project’s Terms of Reference;

Leadership

  1. Develop Business Plan and Budget for External Link Department aligned with REG Strategic Plans;
  2. Develop Deliverables, agree KPIs, Monitor, Review and Evaluate performance for External Link team;

Requirements and Skills

  • Master’s Degree in communications, public relations, journalism or relevant discipline with at least 8 years of working experience


  • A degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Mass Communication, public relations or any other relevant discipline with at least 10 years of working experience


  • The candidate should have at least 5 years working in a large organization at a managerial level


  • Should be knowledgeable about the electricity supply industry in Rwanda
