About REG-EUCL

The Energy Sector in Rwanda is undergoing a process of reform and a comprehensive program of renewal and expansion of electricity infrastructure is underway to ensure growth of the network to meet current and future supply requirements with a high level of reliability. The Energy Utility Corporation Limited (EUCL) is a Subsidiary of the Rwanda Energy Group (REG) one of the Successor entities from the former EWSA. EUCL took over EWSA utility operations including the associated generation plants, transmission and distribution network and all adjoining facilities thereto.

Description, duties, responsibilities

Develop and implement a system for the management and safe custody and retrieval of records and information routed to and from the Director’s Office in line with the operational guidelines and procedures;

Plan, monitor, supervise and maintain cleanliness in the Director’s Office in line with administrative and branding guidelines;etc

Execute technical duties delegated to the Technical Assistant as and when assigned;

Represent the Director in Technical Meetings, Seminars and other fora as and when delegated by the Director;

Review, and organize in order of priority Technical Documentation dispatched to the Director’s office;

Carry out research on various technical topics related to the utility business as instructed by the Director; etc

Manage correspondences to the Director’s Office including mail, Telephone, incoming and out-going faxes, and route inquiries to the respective action officers / departments and generate periodic status reports;

Coordinate preparations for meetings with the Director, taking down minutes and providing feedback to stakeholders in line with organization policies;

Schedule internal & external customer appointments and providing feed back to the specific stakeholders in line with organization procedures;etc

 

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree (A0) in Electrical, Electromechanical OR Electronic Engineering;


  • At least 2 years of experience in an Electricity Utility in any capacity (field based roles shall be an added advantage; OR


  • Technical Diploma in Electrical, Electromechanical OR Electronic Engineering, with


  • At least 4 years’ experience in an Electricity Utility in any capacity
